Welcome to Florida Keys Beagle, where the laid-back fashion of the islands meets the fun loving, hilarious, heart-melting beagle. What started out as an idea for one T-shirt has turned into an entire brand dedicated to beagles and those of us who love them...with a tropical twist because, hey, who doesn't love the sun, sea, and sand!
Based in the heart of Key Largo, we specialize in premium apparel, gear, and unique gifts designed specifically for Beagle lovers. Our entire collection is inspired by an adventurous beagle named Cedric—who is also our brand’s CEO (Chief Exploration Officer).
All the graphics we create are inspired by real-life moments here in the Keys—beagle bar hopping, beagle beach days, and those legendary “naughty” streaks that only a beagle owner truly understands.
I’m Ellie—an award-winning author, graphic artist, and beagle advocate. For the past decade, I’ve been an advocate to end the practice of animal testing on dogs, focusing primarily on beagles. It is a heartbreaking reality that beagles, known for their forgiving nature, are the primary victims of this cruelty.
But my love of beagles goes back much further...
My first beagle was named Max. Not knowing anything about beagles at this time, Max quickly revealed how athletic, goofy, silly, naughty, and loving this breed really is. I can’t count how many miles I ran when he decided to take off after a scent on a hike in the countryside. Yet through all our adventures together, I fell head over heals in love with beagles and vowed to always have them be a part of my life.
The next two beagles to enter my life were Marty and Eddie (beagle mix), both survivors of animal testing. Since they had both been experimented on for over six years, their rehabilitation was challenging to say the least. They had to learn how to trust people again. But, with a lot of patience and love, Marty and Eddie came to love meeting people and all of life’s adventures. They both lived to be over 15 years old.
Currently, I’m "owned" by Cedric, an animal testing survivor and the inspiration behind Florida Keys Beagle. Cedric has been my sidekick in exploring the beautiful Florida Keys since I moved here in 2025. We do everything together. Sailing. Paddleboarding. If it’s something fun, you can bet that Cedric is by my side.
I remember looking at Cedric one day and saying, “You should have your own T-shirt line Cedric.” And before I knew it, one idea for a T-shirt design turned into 27…and a beagle clothing brand for beagle people was born!
I’m a software engineer and High Honors graduate of ECPI University, driven by a passion for creating unique digital experiences. Florida Keys Beagle is built from the things I love most—life on the water, travel, and dogs.
Whether it’s fishing, sailing, snorkeling, or exploring new places, adventure is always part of the journey. But what truly inspired this brand is my love for dogs—especially beagles. Their goofy, loving, and playful nature perfectly reflects the spirit behind everything we create.
Most importantly, this journey is shared with my wife, my partner in both life and business, making this more than just a brand—it’s something we’re building together.
